Checkout Art of Reflexology by Tania Watch Video

Reflexology is a non invasive complementary health touch therapy that aims to optimise both physical and emotion health. It works by massaging and stimulating your body’s own natural healing abilities, to aid rebalancing of the body systems , by applying fingers or thumbs to pressure points of your hands and feet called reflexes. Reflexologists work holistically to treat the whole person.

Q How long does a treatment last?

Reflexology treatments usually last from around 30 – 45 minutes; it depends which treatment you are receiving, and how it is adapted to suit your needs.

Q Where will I have the treatment?

Reflexology treatments are performed in a therapy treatment room, located in Brant Broughton. You will be sat up or laid down on my treatment chair, where you will be able to relax your whole body, whilst your feet are being touched.

Creams/balms or Oils are used and enhance effectiveness so please do let me know if you have any allergies. All my products are 100% natural. Soothing music is played to ensure you are comfortable & relaxed throughout the treatment. It is important to wear a comfortable cotton top during the treatment & to switch off any mobile phones.

You can request a home visit in certain circumstances, where I will bring my treatment chair and apparatus to you to make your experience as comfortable as possible. There is an additional cost for this service. Please contact to discuss should you want to make this request.

Q How many treatments will I need?

Regular sessions will multiply the beneficial effects of reflexology and you can have treatments as often as you want. It will also depend on your reason for coming for treatments. You can come once a week, every other week or even monthly; its up to you. This is something to discuss with you at your initial treatment.

Q What are the benefits of Reflexology?

Reflexology is a wonderful way to relax and feel pampered, promoting restful sleep and relief from the stresses of everyday life. Reflexology can also help with local pain and discomfort in the ankles, feet and calves. You can feel the benefit of the reflexology immediately; your feet should feel energised, and your body and mind are relaxed & peaceful. Your body will continue to re-energise & repair itself up to 48 hours after the treatment, so it is important to listen to your body. Try to make sure you have the time to rest after a treatment & let your body heal itself

Q When shouldn’t I receive treatment?

Reflexology is more commonly performed on the feet, otherwise I am able to provide a treatment on the hands. Reflexology is a very safe and effective therapy used to treat a variety of conditions. However, as with all therapies, it is important to make me aware of any pre-existing conditions, which may be contra-indicated and for which treatment cannot be provided:

Skin infections such as warts; verrucas; athletes foot etc
Recent surgery on feet or legs, specifically for varicose veins
Food Poisoning
Other conditions may require you to consult with your doctor before a treatment can be considered:

Low/high blood pressure
Heart Conditions
Please note that this lists are not exhaustive and other medical conditions may require referral to your GP before treatment can commence. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Q How much does a treatment cost?

Please see the price list on my website. If you are in receipt of a low income please contact me to discuss prices. Discounts will be available, check out the offers page and Facebook page to find out. Reflexology gift vouchers are available on request.
